I’m in Florence this week, updating my app, Eat Italy. I’ve been so busy running from restaurant to tripe stand to gelateria that I haven’t had a minute to sit down and write a post today.
But I have had a minute to take some incredibly gorgeous photographs of the city. Because that’s all it takes. A minute. I just point my camera and shoot. Florence really does look like this.

I was just there in October; it remains my favorite city in the world!

Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these images!
I am in the midst of writing a poetry chapbook that features places like Florence. The photos I took there and the experiences are really inspiring.

Great pics Elizabeth–I have your Eat Italy app–got it before I moved to Florence–it has helped me lots when I have had visitors in town! I hope I see you on the streets of Florence–

Images such as these are a reminder that despite all the chaos that is raging, Italy will always touch our hearts and that there is indeed Heaven on Earth, grazie

Beautiful pictures. I was just there last month and amazingly enough it actually is that beautiful and more in person. I need the Eat Italy app for my next trip because I need to spend more time in that city, I keep dropping in for day trips and missing so much.

Thank you for this! Yes, sometimes pictures are plenty enough. Sigh. One of my favorite places in the world and it has been over twenty years since I have been!

These are beautiful photographs. I just wrote a post about the Rape of the Sabine Woman (and other sculpture in the Piazza della Signoria). Your photos of that sculpture are wonderful!
