As the weather gets gorgeous and Rome heads into Spring I’ve been very busy leading Food Tours. Some of my clients have been very busy too, writing and talking about me. (thank you!) Here are some recent reports from the front lines of eating our way though Rome.
Angela came in from Melbourne, with baby and hubbie in tow. I actually got the chance to take her on two Food Tours – one around Campo de’ Fiori and the Ghetto, and the other in Esqulino and Monti. Follow this link for her lovely report on her delicious blog The Good Soup.
Suzy and Bill Menard are neighbors up in Umbria, where they have a beautifully restored farmhouse. Yet we never met until last week, when they joined me in Rome for a Food Tour around Campo and Trastevere with their friend Erin. We had a great time eating – well, duh – and Bill’s amazing write up on their blog makes me hungry just reading it.
Although I’ve never been to Lincoln restaurant in Portland, I’d heard of it. It’s one of the best new restaurants in the country and the chef and owner – Jenn Louis – was just named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs for 2012. Congratulations Jenn! I got a chance to lead Jenn around Testaccio where we did things like eat horse meat and liver sausage. She very kindly named Eat Italy and Eat Italy as her favorite apps in her interview with Food & Wine. Thanks Jenn!
And rumor has it that Eat Italy was named by Ryan Air Magazine as one of the top travel apps. If anyone is flying Ryan Air, can you grab a copy of the March/April issue for me? Thank you!

Wow, so far I have only read Bill’s write up but it is so amazing it should be posted as a permanent link here!
Looking forward to reading the others and with hope that one day I will be able to take one of your tours too.

Of course you’re talked about! you’re the talk of Brisbane! I hear Natascha Mirosch is looking forward to a tour in June? I wish I could be there again, to make the most of another season…
