So glad the world is finally beginning to know the other Italy. The south, the south south of Positano and Amalfi. My grandmother was Barese so I thank you for this post.

You’re very welcome!

We spent time in Puglia this past summer (along with Rome, Umbria, & Florence). We loved the simple, genuine pace of life in southern Italy – a lifetime away from the hectic, touristique sentiment of some of the larger Italian cities in the north. Simply lovely images. Bravo!

I’m so looking forward to visiting Bari (and Puglia) for the first time in May 2013! Love your photos!!

Thanks! Make sure you search my blog for other Bari posts (with words!) . There are some great restaurants there.

Ooh, this concept of Wordless Wednesdays makes me so happy–I tried to do something similar today but felt guilty and threw some words in but if YOU say it is ok and I SEE how happy that ‘just’ your beautiful photos make me…well then it is ok!
Just stocked up on Maple Smokehouse seasoning while I am here in the States. If you want me to get some for you too, just let me know.

Wordless Wednesday are easy. It’s all about the laziness factor! Thanks so much for the offer of seasoning. but I think I’m ok. New Year’s resolution # 345: cut down on pantry items.

I agree with the first comment! Pictures speak volumes about a place.
