I usually don’t post on Sundays, since I figure you probably have something better to do than look at your computer screen. Hopefully on this mid-August weekend you’re out at the beach, up in the hills or just hanging out in your hammock somewhere beautiful.
And maybe you’ve got the New York Times Sunday Magazine with you? Just in case you don’t….
….sorry if I distract you for one minute with this link. It’s not every day that one of America’s best food writers (and my personal favorite) cites me (and my apps) as an expert in the New York Times. Thank you Mark Bittman! And thank you Evan Kleiman too.

Elizabeth, as soon as I saw the title of this post, I let out a little inner “Yay!”. Mark Bittman has changed and is changing the way America eats and is also just a really great read, every single time. I find similar joy in your blog and always look forward to discovering the rest of your writing.
Thank you for all you do and congratulations!

Well, how cool is that? Congratulations on the recognition. You deserve it.

Congratulations on the NY Times love.
I just returned from Florence, Rome and Sorrento and your guides for the first two cities were so very helpful. Any chance you might consider tackling the Amalfi Coast? After those great blog posts about Positano, it seems like maybe you might want to go back for some research? Seems like it would be a pretty sweet gig.
